For a long time, the place of Asia in world trade was not very important. The leadership has always been supported by the west. Things seem to be evolving rapidly. The trends in the world have been the one with the determination of dollars more or less what happens in the world. The United States as in Europe have been at the forefront in terms of global economy and even claimed roles leadership upon themselves. In recent years, however, Asian countries have been in a big way in the world of business. The quantity of exported goods and services plays a very large part in determining the gross domestic product. This is necessitated by competition for the emerging markets of Africa, and the apparent success by the Asian giants for control of the African market.
